Morf is an all-in-one platform that helps educators and content providers by converting inaccessible documents into accessible formats tailored for blind and low vision students.
Frequently Asked Questions
Morf is optimized for K–12 curriculum documents. The current version has a strong focus on middle and high school math. It accurately converts documents containing typed text, tables, mathematical expressions, and graphics into accessible formats.
Morf can also convert other document types that include diagrams and data tables. However, documents with unusual layouts, handwritten notes, or hand-drawn figures may yield less accurate results due to current AI limitations.
If you work with complex or non-standard documents, feel free to contact us. We're happy to review samples and discuss how Morf can support your accessibility needs.
Morf supports commonly used formats, making it easy to upload worksheets, textbooks, and scanned images. Currently, the supported file types are:
- PDF (.pdf)
- Images (.jpg, .png)
Additional formats may be supported in future updates.
Morf currently provides the following accessible output formats:
- Screen reader-friendly Word (.docx)
- Transcribed Braille Document (.brf) with option to choose between Nemeth or UEB
- Accessible web with math (.html)
If you need other formats or have questions on these options, please reach out to us directly using the email - morfmath@unarlabs.com
Morf generates image descriptions for most graphics, making visual content more accessible to blind and low-vision users. Users can specify the level of detail they need for the descriptions.
For K–12 curriculum materials—especially in subjects like math, science, and geometry—Morf also produces vector graphic (SVG) versions of diagrams, geometric figures, and certain types of charts. These SVGs are compatible with tactile graphic embossers, digital magnification tools, and other assistive technologies.
If your materials contain complex or highly specialized graphics, we encourage you to reach out. We are happy to evaluate your content and explore customized accessibility solutions.
Morf is designed for a wide range of users, including:
- Students with blindness or low vision
- Educators creating accessible materials
- Organizations seeking accessible compliance
- Parents seeking tools to help their children with visual impairments
- Blind individuals seeking accessible formats of their documents

- BRF (.brf): Best for Braille embossing or sharing with students who use Braille notetaker or Braille displays.
- HTML (.html): Optimized for assistive technology and responsive web use. Retains text, math expressions, and figure descriptions—ideal for screen readers, web platforms, and digital learning environments.
- DOCX (.docx): Preserves all textual content and image descriptions. Great for customization, lesson planning, or converting into other document types.
